CHICAGO (June 13, 2016) - One North, a digital marketing and technology agency for B2B organizations, hosted design students from General Assembly, celebrating Chicago’s Design Week with an interactive site visit where students learned about One North’s agency structure, took part in a case study exercise and discussed design’s role in digital content.
One North Senior Strategist Cathy Lynk facilitated the event and shared her insights with the students on the significance of design at the agency.
“It was such an important opportunity to show the students how our teams work closely together across all functions of our business, including Strategy, Brand, Creative, Account and Technology,” said Lynk. “One North’s collaborative environment is great for creative, dynamic projects that the next generation of designers and strategists are looking for in an agency.”
After touring the facility, the students worked in groups to brainstorm design solutions for a fictional client’s website. They were then presented the case study of an award-winning One North project, where Lynk discussed the agency’s process in delivering such endeavors.
“We wanted to give the General Assembly students access to our agency environment so they could see what a modern digital agency looks like and how it functions,” CEO at One North John Simpson said. “Bringing creative and driven individuals into the office and showing them that diverse capabilities work best in collaborative, talented teams was important to the One North staff- especially during Design Week- because design is such an integral part of digital experiences and One North as an agency.”
