Burns & McDonnell is a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm that employs more than 5,500 professionals. The Burns & McDonnell team was looking to better represent the firm's global presence and articulate its ongoing commitment to clients. The firm hoped to harness the power of a unique digital experience as a lead generation tool for key audiences, while also providing a memorable and sensory stimulating experience for users.
With a large number of practice areas and diversified industry expertise, strategically constructing the site’s information architecture was key. The site needed a design that would entice users and invite them to dive deeper into the content targeted to specific users.
One North provided onsite art direction for photos and videos, ensuring the essence of the Burns & McDonnell brand and the personality of its people were both successfully infused into visual assets.
The new site design is as progressive as its organization’s culture and work. The homepage features a 3D visual design and sound effects that immediately absorb the user. Throughout the site, users are guided through a journey that allows them to learn about Burns & McDonnell, understand the firm’s expertise in the space and remain engaged with its brand and content.
