John Simpson is one of One North’s founders and serves as the Chief Executive Officer. For more than 20 years, John has been helping professional services marketers engage with their clients and grow their organizations through brand-based digital marketing experiences. He is a frequent author and speaker as it relates to relationship development, digital strategy and marketing innovation. John received his bachelor's degree in economics and neuropsychology from Vanderbilt University and his MBA in marketing, strategy and finance from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
Jeff Hirner is one of One North’s founders and serves as the Chief Operating Officer. He’s responsible for running the day-to-day operations of One North’s projects and ensuring each client engagement is a success. Working with a team of more than 80 employees, Jeff oversees the creation and implementation of extraordinary digital experiences for our clients. Prior to the formation of One North, Jeff was the Senior Director of Services and Support and a member of the Senior Management Team at Hubbard One. He has also worked as an architect and a senior consultant in the financial services segment at Accenture. Jeff holds a degree in operations management from Marquette University and a J.D. from the Loyola Chicago School of Law.
Jen Frost is Managing Director of Marketing at One North. She works closely with the Digital Strategy, Experience Design and Technology teams to develop and enhance One North client communication and exterior messaging strategy. In addition, she provides general marketing direction for One North and promotes internal culture. Previously, she worked at Hubbard One as Director of Marketing and, prior to that, an Account Director working with law firm clients in New York, Seattle, San Francisco and the UK. Jen has also acted as an Associate Director at Digitas, focused on supporting the interactive marketing initiatives at Allstate Insurance. Jen holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
Ryan is Managing Director of Technology at One North. He is responsible for overseeing One North’s strategy related to technical applications, systems and client implementations. Ryan has more than 15 years of experience architecting, designing and managing technology teams. He and the rest of the technology team offer unique solutions and open up new possibilities for marketing and business development professionals. Ryan has a degree in computer science from Northwestern University and got his start at Accenture Technology Labs, where he focused on emerging technologies.
As Managing Director, Client Services for One North, Christie works with some of One North’s largest clients to find the best and most effective interactive experiences to help them communicate with their audiences. Ensuring the use of advanced practices and lessons learned from previous engagements, she leads her team to develop a project plan based on both an established timeline and budget. A creative, client-driven and IT-focused manager with over 12 years of experience in project management and client consulting, she has previously worked for both Thomson Reuters and Hubbard One. She graduated with a BA in Economics and Political Science from UMass Amherst.
As the Managing Director of Strategic Accounts at One North, Sarah consults with clients on the creation and execution of strategic programs to enhance their marketing, business development and knowledge management goals. Her expertise lies in understanding the role that digital plays in supporting these efforts. Sarah immerses herself in each of her clients’ unique business landscapes and develops a deep appreciation for their objectives and challenges. She seeks to establish long-term goals and short-term solutions with connected measurement strategies, and provides support for complex internal communications. Sarah previously led the Digital Strategy team and the UX/Strategy practice at One North. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Rhetoric at Bates College.
As Managing Director of Business Development, Dawn leads One North’s business development team to nurture relationships and direct sales efforts. Her background in account management aids in her ability to ensure the best experiences for One North's clients and prospects, as well as coordinate project delivery and services. Highly empathetic, Dawn understands the importance of active listening and leveraging her experience as a means to seek the best solution for her clients. She holds a BA in communications and business administration from the University of Iowa.
As Managing Director of Client Development, Bill works with professional services organizations to elevate all aspects of their business – from Marketing and Information Technology to Recruitment, Human Resources and everything in between. Bill empowers clients to leverage digital to improve their internal business practices, bolster their marketing efforts, attract and retain all key audiences, and, ultimately, reach their business objectives. With 20 years of client service experience, Bill has an adept and deep understanding of client needs and goals, and believes a company’s success is rooted in the success of its clients. Bill previously led Client Services at One North. He has also worked as an Account Executive for Hubbard One and an information technology consultant at both Accenture and BearingPoint. Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Marquette University.
Kalev Peekna is the Chief Strategist at One North. He leads the Digital Strategy team, advising clients on the creation and execution of strategic programs to enhance the use of digital for their marketing, business development and knowledge management goals. Kalev brings a cross-platform, user-focused approach to innovations in brand development, design, data analysis and technology, and helps clients apply those innovations to their strategic aims. Previously, Kalev led the UX/Strategy practice at One North. Kalev earned his bachelor’s degree from Brown University. He holds master’s degrees from the University of Chicago and Cambridge University, where he studied as Fulbright Scholar.
As Managing Director of Brand and Experience Design, Ryan Schulz is responsible for making sure clients’ true character is represented in everything his team does: messaging, brand, user experience, visual design and front-end experiences. With more than 15 years in brand consulting, he helps clients break through the sea of sameness that plagues the world of professional services. Previously, Ryan served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Vosges Haut-Chocolat and also as Director of Brand and Communications Strategy at VSA Partners. Ryan has a B.A. in English Literature and a Minor in Creative Writing from Taylor University.
