One North is seeking a Senior Product Designer with deep expertise in UX/UI as well as advanced proficiency in Figma and design systems. This individual will thrive in a variety of work environments—from being embedded within client teams, to consulting with clients on digital product redesigns, to leading the development and evolution of client design systems.
This individual should bring both breadth and depth—someone who can move seamlessly between UX/UI design challenges, design systems, and digital platforms with a high level of craft, curiosity, and vision. As part of our multidisciplinary Design team, the Senior Product Designer will lead design efforts across mobile and web products as well as enterprise design systems.
While many of our clients initially seek traditional product design support, we know their long-term success often depends on going a step further—establishing scalable, maintainable design systems. This role requires someone who can not only meet immediate product design needs but also advocate for and implement design system thinking. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience architecting systems from the ground up, creating robust component libraries, defining governance models, and partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless design-to-code alignment.
The Senior Product Designer should be fluent in Figma’s advanced features and familiar with related tools such as Zeroheight, Knapsack, Tokens Studio, and/or Gradial. Strong documentation capabilities, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive adoption across cross-functional teams are essential to helping our clients succeed beyond the brief.
This role will ideally be based in the Chicago area, but we are open to remote locations across the U.S. and Canada.
