One North is looking for a Senior Product Designer with a passion for UX/ UI work and Figma expertise. As part of the Design team, the Senior Product Designer will partner with our clients to create high-fidelity UX/UI designs for enterprise applications by leveraging design system best practices.
This role will ideally be based in the Chicagoland area, but we are open to remote locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Responsibilities
- Produce highly polished screen designs that follow UX and UI best practices
- Participate in working sessions with clients and present original work
- Work closely with other disciplines to translate their deliverables (e.g., research outcomes, brand platforms, wireframes, etc.) into high fidelity designs and prototypes
- Guide the client on best ways to leverage Figma for their organization
- Be an advocate for design systems and accessibility
When packing your bags, please bring:
- Deep understanding of design fundamentals and digital product experiences
- Expert command of Figma and its advanced features, such as Auto Layout, Variables, DevMode, Advanced Prototyping
- Experience and passion for UX/UI designs
- Familiarity with design systems and comfort in leveraging them for new interface designs
- Understanding for how to translate desktop designs to tablet and mobile screens
- Solid understanding for design implications around WCAG accessibility requirements
- The ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment with design, client services, strategy, and technology teams
- Openness to feedback
- High-quality execution of work in all areas
- Self-starter mentality, pushing the vision for our clients
- Passion for digital design and staying up to date on the latest tech and trends
- Experience working in an Agile process
- Understanding of various inquiry methods such as usability testing
Your weapons (wield them wisely):
- 3 or more years of design experience in an in-house product or design systems team, consultancy, or agency
- Work examples that demonstrate high-fidelity designs, strategic design thinking, and complex problem solving
- Exceptional visual design skills (e.g., typography, color, layout)
- Advanced skills in Figma
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JS, and responsive design (coding is not a requirement)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Eye for detail and high personal standards
- Experience working with mobile native applications
- Dedication to following industry best practices and trends
- Required: A strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of UX/UI work

We reserve the right to pay above or below the base salary range of $97,600-$146,400 based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs like annual bonuses, commissions, profit sharing, etc.
