Introducing SitecoreAI: What Marketers Need to Know
Sitecore just made its biggest move yet: XM Cloud and other SaaS tools are now unified under a single platform called SitecoreAI — where AI isn’t an add-on, it’s the foundation.
Sitecore Symposium 2025 just wrapped, and the biggest announcement was the rebranding of XM Cloud to SitecoreAI. This isn’t just a new name — it reflects a fundamental shift in the platform’s capabilities and vision. Here’s what that means for marketers.
Key Features
AI is the platform. You no longer have Sitecore Stream as a bolt-on feature, and there’s no concept of standard and premium-tiering. Nearly every screen, interaction, workflow, and operation is underpinned and enhanced with AI. This will be a game-changer for teams, as this deep integration allows marketers to drive faster innovation and faster execution.
Note: For those with strict InfoSec rules, don’t worry! You can “turn off” AI while your compliance team reviews data privacy and processing rules.
Personalize and Search are now fully part of the platform. There are no longer additional SKUs you need to order. On launch, you have access to all the personalization capabilities to test, elevate, and leverage the AI-supported experiences within your components, pages, or even your built-in search results.
Sitecore’s customer data platform (CDP) is fully integrated to drive the personalization, analysis, and reporting on how your users, customers, and prospects experience your brand. This integration enables SitecoreAI to make decisions and predictions for future personalization variants. If you have an existing CDP or CRM, you can leverage Connect to import, export, and synchronize your records to provide additional capabilities.
What’s Next?
SitecoreAI is available now. The combined and refreshed UI is live, including AI tooling, Personalize, CDP, Search, and XM Cloud updates. In the coming months, expect updates to ContentHub that bring it closer into the SitecoreAI ecosystem, along with continued advances in AI workflows and processes throughout the year.
Existing XM Cloud clients don’t need to do anything outside of accepting an AI EULA (End User License Agreement) –– a legal agreement that governs how AI features process and handle your data. This may have already been completed if you’re utilizing Stream.
Existing XM/XP solutions will not see immediate changes, but these recent platform advances create a compelling path forward for migrating to the SaaS environment.
As a Sitecore Platinum Partner, One North is ready to help you navigate this transition. Whether you’re an existing XM Cloud customer looking to leverage the new AI capabilities or exploring a migration from XM/XP to the SaaS environment, our team of experts can guide you through the process.
